In an almost cinematic way, our treatment of this Dragonette song continues to build throughout, from very soft beginnings, through a gated-reverb second verse, a bridge full of vocal edits and pianos, to the energetic conclusion.

Here’s our indie-electro-disco take on TalkFine’s track Feel That. MJ-era synths meet crazy guttural autotuned yelling and whistling for good measure. And don’t forget the ridiculously funky keyboard solo. Enjoy!

We recently took a shot at remixing this track by up-and-coming artist Theo Martins.  It would have been fun to do under any circumstances, but in this case Theo was hosting a remix competition for the track, and as it turned out, we had the honor of being selected as the winner!  When asked to describe our remix Theo said, “I really appreciate Earth Moon Earth’s versatility in taking a laid back song like ‘Up & Away’ and reconstructing it into a modern funkadelic jam of sorts. Very smooth, very funky.”  That is exactly what we hoped any listener of this jam would say, so it is very exciting to hear it from the man himself, and to be selected from among so many great entries. Enjoy!

Check out our remix of Mike Posner’s hit ‘Please Don’t Go.’ We personally feel that it would make a nice addition to your Summer rooftop party playist—even if your party is grounded in the living room, bathtub, backyard, etc. Throw another shrimp on the barbie and enjoy…

Wrapping up the Stolen Songs set is our indie-electro take on the Empire of the Sun hit ‘Walking on a Dream’. Glowing synth textures are present in full force here, and we quite love the way the chorus opens up underneath that great falsetto hook. This track should be a nice addition to the excellent mixes of this track already out, and we try to bring our own thing to it! Hopefully it’ll be just in time for some summer rooftop parties…

The second of the Stolen Songs, we wanted to take this Goldfrapp tune in a decidedly different direction. It has the particular kind of momentum that most partygoers have probably felt at about two-thirty in the morning.

This track is the first of the Stolen Songs, tracks of ours that were on a laptop taken in the latest in a string of burglaries we’ve been hit with. All wasn’t lost, though! We found we still had some rough bounces of the tracks, and we figured, why not let everyone enjoy them? The Hands remix came together over a productive weeklong stay in San Diego just after arriving in Cali, and you can definitely hear the sunshine–a warm swirl of synth-y energy and soaring vocals.

Fences is probably the most intriguing track from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix – simultaneously mellow & catchy, wildy original, and featuring what may be the best three notes ever played on a CS80 (sorry, Vangelis!). Expect no such restraint from us! This remix takes a much more upbeat approach, evolving from subtlety to an all-out dance party by the chorus. Touches of 80s-synth nostalgia weave between a pulsing, syncopated bass and swirling arps. A new micro-edited chorus countermelody has been fashioned out of Thomas Mar’s vocal, which sprawls into the bridge, and builds to the drop! We’ve got a suspicion this remix’s vibe will be as appropriate while wearing a suit/dress as a Tears For Fears t-shirt, so get it in that NYE playlist!

Toxic! It’s hard to find anything to improve about the original Bloodshy&Avant monsterpiece. It is pretty legendary. But, our version is definitely…different! A fresh take on a fun song. Happy Birthday Britney!
